A KINEs STORY

I can't wait to share my story with you all, but to be honest, I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I picked up a camera in seventh grade, but I thank God every day that I did! I am grateful for the journey, the opportunities I've been given, and the talented people I've met and collaborated with along the way. It's been a blessing and there's still so much more to come. I developed a passion for photography and the filmmaking process in middle school. I bought DVDs of my favorite movies just to watch the behind the scenes and hear the director discuss their vision! When I realized the relationship between photography and filmmaking, I began to wonder how my still photos would translate into motion picture form. At that moment, I started making things and discovering and exploring more. Throughout middle school and high school, I continued creating, which led to my acceptance at my dream school, Emerson College. I was in my own little world at Emerson until I started collaborating with talented, like-minded individuals which further led to groundbreaking projects. Four of my absolute favorites - Breathe, Bliss, I Don't Want Christmas and City of Champions. While I was working on collaborative passion projects with fellow Emersonians, I continued to build my brand as a freelance photographer. The best part about where I am today is that my past works and friendships have gotten me here. They continue to open doors for me. With that, I look forward to seeing where the future takes me!

AIR KINES

My childhood obsession with The Justice League Animated series sparked my passion for flight. I was always so empowered and inspired by superheroes’ ability to take to the skies to save the day. I was amazed at how their ascension was limitless and how they were able to dart through the clouds. It was captivating to see things from their perspectives. I knew then at that early age I was fascinated with flight and being in the air. I gravitated towards aerial photography and cinematography as I thought of ways to bring refreshing perspectives to my craft. I created Air Kines to link my childhood experiences to my craft and to experience the freedom and exhilaration that I am sure my favorite heroes experience. I did and still do look to superheroes for empowerment and hope.

I am grateful for all of the opportunities that have come from my passion projects. As I grow older and continue to create, the more I push more against being pigeonholed into a single category. If you are reading this, I encourage you to continue capturing and making work that feeds your soul and makes you happy. My craft and way of thinking have grown as a result of expanding my comfort zone. Making new changes will scare you, but growth begins where your comfort zone ends!
